Marom Europe meeting in Paris

Marom Europe representatives meeting in Kehillat Adath Shalom, Paris – 3-6/12/2009
Report by Eszter Susan

We exchanged ideas and experienceses. We shared our exisiting programs and planned programs for the upcoming year.
We planned the EU application and the next Marom Europe representatives meeting in London, and the way we will use the EVS voluntary service. For the London meeting we will most probabaly join the Masorti Europe conference and will have one or two separate meetings especially for Marom. We need to build the budget for the London conference and start organising it soon.
We will involve Amsterdam and Stockholm as well. The representative from Nice was unfortunately not able to join this meeting because of illness, but next time we hope to have her as well.
People showed interest in the Israel programs, and we will get more information about them from the Marom Olami office in Israel.
The lecture of the ICCD was also inspiring and we were able to spend some free time together as well.
One of the most popular themes was the Moishe House and if everything goes well, a Marom-Moishe house will be opened in Berlin soon.
The Paris community was very receptive and nice, we had a special Kabbalath Shabbath service and in general we had a great time there. The group also got the chance to meet Evelyn and Claude from the Paris community, who gave us supporting, encouraging ideas and talks for the group. The Marom Paris people and Gabriela were very helpful and I think Marom has a good potential to grow with this team in Paris.
The new Marom London coordinator Inbar is great. She was very constructive during the meetings and I am looking forward to working with her, as she is experienced and has good ideas.
We have an action plan for Marom Spain, I will write about it later…
We advanced the Budapest-Berlin partnership.
We have prepared a short video of everyone saying Happy Chanukah in their own languages which I will try to get from the French! Its funny 🙂
